The People of Wood’s Homes

Wood's Homes, a large organization with about 220 full-time staff and primarily funded by Region 3 Child & Family Services and the Alberta Mental Health Board, focuses on youth 11 to 18.

The agency also provides services through funding from the federal government, municipal government, other regional authorities and the United Way as well as offering their own fee-for-service programs.

Our services include intensive residential treatment programs on our two main campuses in the Parkdale and Bowness communities, various community-based group treatment centres and caregiver homes in Calgary, integrated services for children and families in Red Deer, and in-home services in Lethbridge. Some of Wood's programs are unique in Canada, including the award-winning addiction service for Aboriginal youth and the program for the treatment of adolescent sex offenders.

This continuum of services is among the most comprehensive available from any single Canadian organization. It provides vital assistance for youth with multi-dimensional problems.
