Foster Care Support Worker
Reporting to the Supervisor of the Foster Care Network, the Foster Care Support Worker is responsible for therapeutic and support services to troubled youth and their foster families in order to promote enduring substitute family-based care. The provision of these services may include recruiting, training; matching and supporting foster families in addition to offering clinically based care individual intervention, system co-ordination, and crisis support. Although primary focus is with Foster Care the support worker may be deployed in education, residential or community services
Diploma/Degree in one of the Human Sciences, Child Care or a related field. Minimum four (4) years experience working with children and/or adolescents and families. In-home support experience preferred.
Must have own transportation. Current Standard First Aid Certification.
