IT Network Coordinator

IT NETWORK COORDINATOR and SUPPORT

Scope of Position:

Reporting to the Director of Finance and IT, the IT Coordinator is
responsible for the coordination of the computer resource requirement
and the technical support for Wood's Homes telecommunication network
and server infrastructure.

Functions/Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

(a) Purchasing, installation, configuring, imaging and repairing of desktops, notebooks, server computers, software and printers as well as desk help and network administration.
(b) Assigns and maintains user domain, ID and security.
(c) Maintains and back up Wood's Homes data bases.
(d) Designs and tests computer disaster recovery plan at regular intervals.
(e) Provides client service both internally and externally on all computer and telecommunication related issues.
(f) Assists in the development of Wood's Homes overall IT strategies and infrastructure.
(g) Maintains up-to-date knowledge on newest computer technologies.
(h) Advises Management on telecommunication network and related issues.
(i) Provide procedural documentation for critical systems, network backup and recovery support.
(j) Evaluates and advises on consulting services as and when required.
(k) Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

- Diploma or degree in Computer Technology, preferably in a telecommunication/networking or related field.
- Experience in PC/user support.
- Experience in data backup, restoration and installation.
- Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
- Welcomes responsibility and enjoys challenge.
