Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is a funding partnership between the Government of Alberta, municipalities and Metis Settlements. The FCSS program receives its mandate from the Family and Community Support Services Act and Family and Community Support Services Regulation.

Under FCSS, communities design and deliver social programs to promote and enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities. The programs depend on community resources, often involving volunteers in mangement and delivery.

FCSS provides funding for three Wood's Homes Programs:

• Eastside Family Centre: Ste. 255, 495 - 36 St NE, Calgary AB - walk-in, no-fee counselling and referral service for individuals and familes, and in-home counselling for families in distress. Tel: (403) 299-9699.
• EXIT Community Outreach: 117 - 7 Ave SW, Calgary AB, - provides a wide range of storefront and mobile support services, including medical care, to street youth and young adults; and assistance for individuals leaving street life. (403) 262-9953.
• EXIT Youth Shelter: 112 - 16 Ave NE - shelter, safety and basic needs for youth without accommodation, with the opportunity to work with professionals in developing longer term living strategies.
