Opportunities: Students

Wood's Homes is a multi-disciplinary organization that hires personnel from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. These include child and youth care, education, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, nursing, theology, criminology, management, accounting and administrative and secretarial staff. In all of these professional arenas, students are welcomed and encouraged to apply to the agency for practicum placements.

Wood's Homes is both a learning and teaching organization committed to encouraging students to learn from us as much as we can learn from them.

Our Student Standing Committee welcomes student applications from a variety of Human Service disciplines. The Committee will review each application, ensuring its commitment to professional education is in line with our commitment to our clients. In conjunction, our Human Resources department ensures procedures exist for the selection, training, supervision, evaluation, and termination of students.
