The Stabilization Program supports families and adolescents in serious crisis by providing a three to five day residential placement in conjunction with solution focused family therapy. This 8 bed residence allows opportunity for families and young people to gain space and time apart so as to allow for reflection and decisions about how to address their respective situations. The clients and families identify expectations for change at the time of youth admission. The anticipated outcome and plan to accomplish is established and agreed to at the admission conference.
A specialized school setting is available for continued academic attendance and to develop strategies to support success in the young person's community school placement. Stabilization also offers a 30 day assessment placement for adolescents with intervention status. The purpose of the assessment is to provide recommendations and viable options for future placement.
