Wood's Homes Programs: Foster Home/Caregiver
Foster Home/Caregiver Network
Wood's Homes offers youth a stable home-like environment and the opportunity to transition from intensive residential treatment to more fully-realized community living with our Foster Home/Caregiver network.
We offer a number of foster home and group living arragements, with the goal of ensuring that our youth are positively transitioning into adults and learning all the skills necessary to living on their own as adults.

Often in times of crisis, children and families have nowhere to turn. They face issues they can't work out alone, but help isn't available near home.
Wood's Homes Wheatland Community Services and Bow Valley Crisis Services are each available to help in your own community. Family support is offered to resolve conflict within the home, with the goal of keeping families together. We enable parents and children to work through issues while remaining in contact with their community, ensuring kids can stay in school and parents can continue to work while the crisis in being resolved.
For over 90 years, Wood's Homes has been helping children and families in central and southern Alberta. We are a place where people in crisis can turn to when they need it most
Without your help, we cannot provide this service, and children will be separated from their families and schools when sent to Cochrane, High River, Airdrie or Calgary for help. Your support for our youth will allow kids and their families to get the help they need without leaving the Wheatland County and East Rockyview municipal districts.
We want our kids feeling 'normal' during this chaotic time. And working around their life is how we plan to do it.
