How We Can Help

Lethbridge

Our mandate is to empower, educate and support youth and their parents and/or guardians to better cope with the ongoing and complex needs of the youth.

Lethbridge

The Home Connections Program is made up of both family support and preservation services that provide culturally-sensitive, intensive in-home support services to high needs children, youth (0-18 years) and families in their home and community settings. The program offers family-centered services to assist family members to improve relationships enabling them to remain safely together, or otherwise stay connected, and to facilitate a child's return home from an alternative community placement. Support to adoptive families and children, adoptive parent support groups, and training are also included within the Home Connections mandate.
The aim is to enhance individual and family competencies that promote healthy growth, development, and well-being of all family members. Core services may include a variety of family support services such as: individual and family counselling, parent/child education, case management, mediation, advocacy, referral to community-based resources, and follow-up as required.

The continuum of services also includes:

  • Youth Mentoring Services
  • An aftercare component for service provision
  • Supervision Services
  • Emergency Response services for children and families

Our staff team includes a Family Therapist, Family Preservation Workers, Youth Mentors and Administrative Support.
